Couple’s Therapy Framework
Our work with couples is grounded primarily in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment theory, and relational and psychodynamic thinking. We understand relationship difficulties not simply as problems of communication, but as patterns that develop between two people, each bringing their own history, needs, sensitivities, and ways of protecting themselves.
Together, we explore each partner’s triggers, attachment and relational patterns, defenses, and how these interact to create recurring cycles of conflict, distance, or disconnection. Therapy helps make these patterns visible creating room for new ways of responding to one another.

Pre-Marriage
A space to better understand one another before marriage, explore important concerns, and identify differences in expectations, needs, values, and relationship patterns.
One Partner
Relationship work can also take place with one partner when attending together is not possible. A shift in how one partner understands and responds within the relationship can begin to change the relational dynamic itself.
Two Partners
With both partners present, we can observe the relationship as it unfolds in the room. We also practice different ways of responding and connecting in real time.
